Much of Dublin nightlife revolves around pubs, but after the pubs close, there are still plenty of venues in the city to dance the night away.
One of the most popular among the young crowd is Break for the Border on Lower Stephens Street, Dublin 2. This is a well established bar/restaurant which has live bands, DJs and a late bar at weekends.
Club M, located within Blooms Hotel on Anglesea Street in the Temple bar area is renowned as a great place to let your hair down. The atmosphere is always electric at Club M, and it is open every night except Sunday. The door policy is neat dress, and arriving drunk at the door drunk will not help your chances of getting in!
A more mature clientele, though not exclusively - it is still popular with the young set - gravitate towards Renards on South Frederick Street, Dublin 2. Renards is a bar/nightclub which serves food throughout the day and offers a supper menu and jazz late into the evening. You might even spot a celebrity or two!
If clubbing isn't your thing, how about a night at the casino? The Fitzwilliam Card Club at Clifton Hall, Lower Fitzwilliam Street, Dublin 2 is a great choice for a guaranteed evening of excitement. It is a members club, but joining couldn't be simpler and visitors will be accommodated as soon as they arrive. The Fitzwilliam offers live poker games nightly as well as Blackjack, Roulette, Punto, Kalooki and Brit Brag. The building housing the Fitzwilliam is actually an old church, and the atmosphere inside is both friendly and professional. Go on - try your luck!
